Kyle McCartin Scholarship
Parkland Buddy Sports
Scholarship for Senior Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of Parkland Buddy Sports. We value their commitment to our motto of “NO LIMITS” during their time of service with us and are confident they will continue to advocate for the abilities of those with disabilities in their communities beyond their high school years.
Kyle J McCartin has been a player in Parkland Buddy Sports since 2005. His family was told he would never be able to speak, and nobody thought he would ever learn to interact with people, a skill needed to integrate in to a team atmosphere. Kyle is now working a full time job, has his own health insurance and just enrolled in his companies 401K.
We are accepting applications from graduating senior volunters who plan to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree or a vocational school for a $1,000 scholarship.
Criteria: A minimum of 50 documented volunteer hours with Parkland Buddy Sports.
To submit your application please complete the following sentence and expand on it with your thoughts.
